First Day in London: Brick Lane Shopping and Eating

Everyone should fly Virgin Airlines at least once in their lives! On the way to London we were treated to hot chocolate, tea, and red eye masks and socks for cold feet. These are the little things that separates Virgin Airline's economy class from the others. After napping a few hours in a quiet East London neighborhood, I headed out to check out the sights, smells, and shopping on Brick Lane. Transportation was easy and cheap-I rode a bike! This was my first experience riding a bike using a shared bike system and I really enjoyed it until I fell......but I was fine, it was hilarious! I loved that if you use the bike for less than an hour, your rental is free! Here is more info about the bike share system.

Brick Lane is super hipster and I love it! The streets are lined with vintage shops and small boutiques, funky bars, and an open air market with more clothing and food vendors. I plan on returning next Sunday to get the full experience as I only spent an hour or so there this trip.

Here are a few pictures from the day. Time to get ready for tonight. HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Three amazingly unique tops I bought from a vendor. I won't see these in the US!

Inspiration Mondays: Remembering Your Blessings

I've been gone for so long, tear drops....But I'm glad to say that I've been working hard and have finished MY FIRST SEMESTER OF GRAD SCHOOL!!! Yipppeee! It's only been 5 days since my last exam and I feel blessed and satisfied knowing that I'm one step closer to accomplishing another goal. And what would be a great reward for finishing up the semester?? Having afternoon tea in LONDON, of course!! I'll be leaving at the end of the week and will be blogging from London Town so stay tuned!

**As we are in the midst of the holiday season and at the end of another year. Please take a moment to reflect on all of your lessons learned and how you will evolve in the future.

And as I sit here reminiscing on all of the wonderful things that I've been able to do and all the amazing people that I've met throughout my journey this year, I would just like to say: Give Thanks for all that you have, all that you are able to give, and all the blessings that you will undoubtedly receive in the new year!

manifestation of your own blessings.”
